Why We Started
The purpose of this non-profit organization is to raise awareness on the dangers of distracted driving. All it takes is one simple choice and lives can be affected forever.
On November 13, 2019, two beautiful people were JUST DRIVING. A driver who was distracted, rear ended their vehicle that was stopped with it’s turn signal on waiting to make a left turn. These victims were pushed into oncoming traffic. Paul Garcia and Caitlin Festerling died at the scene of this horrific crash.
Please, Put your phones down while driving. You don’t think it will happen to you, until it happens to you!
In Arizona, as well as many other states, holding a cell phone while driving is against the law.
What We Are Doing
The non-profit organization "Phones Down, Just Drive" significantly promotes the message of no texting and driving by raising awareness through educational campaigns, advocating for stricter legislation, and providing resources and support to victims and their families.
